Ch
Vineyards Contender - GROUP ONE in Japan
Ch Vineyards Contender is now in Japan
with his new owner, Ko Yamaguchi, who also owns Int Ch Vineyards Red
Sun Rising. He has already won two Group firsts. We wish Ten and Ko
the best of luck.
Contender is a member of our "C" Litter which earned its dam, Ch Vineyards
Toora Loora, her second award as Matron of the Year (for 2009) and the
Vineyards Kennel, Reg., its second Litter Breeder of the Year award.
He is a full brother of Ch Vineyards Bad Boy, top Irish Setter of 2009
(all breed).
Ch Vineyards Toora Loora
Ch Vineyards Bad Boy
Ch Vineyards Toora Loora, ROM, who won the Best Matron Award for the
second time at the 2010 ISCA National event, and who was the mother
of our Ch. Vineyards Bad Boy, died on January 25th . Toora Loora was
happy as a house dog with our daughter, Kelly, her husband, Serena,
who is four, and Pushkin the cat in Wisconsin. Of her litter, she wasn't
the top pick or the show dog (that was her sister, Tangerine), but she
proved her worth in the whelping box. Toora leaves 13 champion children.
She was special, and we all miss "Miss Whiney".
Ch Vineyards Bad Boy, Toora Loora's most successful son, was honored
by the ISCA for winning more Best in Shows and more Sporting Groups
than any other Irish Setter in 2009. Bad Boy is now retired and living
a leisurely life as our housedog. He is available at stud to compatible
champion Irish Setter bitches.
